DIY Friend Gift Ideas

1. Friends Picture Collage

I’m digging this picture frame and think it would be such a fun way to
memorialize a friendship or relationship that has blossomed through the years.

2. Chill Pills

This idea would be cute to give to a friend who works in the office with you
and understands the stress level of your work environment.

It would also be good for a friend whom you know has a stressful job, even
if you can’t empathize with them.

3. Matchbox Camera

This is such a fun idea! Simply color a matchbox black, add the white
parts and fill the inside with prompt cards for taking photographs.

4. Remind Them Why

This is a great thing to do for the friend that gets stressed out super easy.
I did something similar when I was in eighth grade. I bought a notebook and
had my mother’s friends write a letter telling her what she meant to them.
Sometimes it’s the reminder that you mean something that makes the

One of my best friends and I did this when we were in high school. I gave the

about boys mostly – at the time it was this cute boy from work. Now cute boy
from work is my husband. I wish I could get my hands on that book now!

‘Open when’ letters are nice to have around when you know your best friend
could be going through some heavy emotions. It could work especially well when
you move away from them, temporarily or permanently. Just a nice reminder
that somebody cares, like much of these other items.

The perfect gift to put at a place of employment or beside your friend’s bed.
It’s short and sweet – plus it reminds them that they are stuck with you!

Here’s a gift that I cannot wait to make. I have a waffle cone maker and love
making my ownmarshmallows so many of the ingredients would be homemade!
If you have a friend whose birthday is in the summer, they might appreciate this
as a chance to cool down. Although if you are lucky enough, you might have a friend
who loves ice cream all year round and can make it for them whenever!

10. Beach in a Jar

This beach in a jar idea from The Country Chic Cottage would be great for a friend
with whom you recently went to the beach with. Take a handful of the sand to add
to this jar. Maybe the drink umbrella comes from a restaurant you went to.
You could even add in a picture around the back if you’d like.
